Teams & Clubs

Our teams and clubs offer students diverse opportunities to cultivate and share their interests, gifts, and talents. Students are encouraged to try new things, even as they work hard to excel at the activities for which they’ve already developed a passion.

LGA’s extracurriculars are largely driven by student interest – that is, if a student wants it, we do everything we can to make it happen. So if you don’t see what you’re looking for on the list, you should think of it as an opportunity to start something new and lead others with your vision!

Cross Country & Track

Coach Clavijo is so passionate about running, he’d be thrilled if the entire school joined the cross country and track teams! Our runners range from state-ranked to beginners. There’s room for everyone and every kind of goal, from breaking records to finishing races. Mr. Clavijo takes a highly individualized approach to coaching and is well-known around campus for his deep love not just of the sport, but also of the students he mentors.

The Climbing Club

Members of our Climbing Club take the fun off campus as they enjoy weekly indoor rock climbing together. Climbing has many known physical benefits: it strengthens muscles; aids in flexibility; challenges the cardiovascular system; and improves coordination. It also offers the psychological challenges of strategy and risk. Climbing Club members support one another as they reach new heights - literally! - of stamina, perseverance, and goal-setting.
