The Lumen Gentium Academy Players are delighted to present their winter production of William Shakespeare's beloved classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream!”
Love, strife, and transformations abound as Lysander and Hermia flee the harsh court of Duke Theseus, only to be pursued into the enchanted forest by Demetrius, who is in turn pursued by Helena. They become embroiled unknowingly in a quarrel between the Faery King and Queen - Oberon and Titania - and are subjected to the chaotic interference of Puck, the mischievous hobgoblin. Meanwhile, a band of workingmen from Athens, led by Peter Quince and Nick Bottom, prepare a lamentable comedy for performance in Duke Theseus' palace. We hope you can join us for this rollicking show for the whole family!
