Of Particular Note

Please note that with the arrival of cooler temperatures, students now have the option to wear the LGA sweater to school. Only LGA Sweaters - with the logo - are permitted as part of the uniform.

Also, please remind your children about our Friday Mass uniforms: students must wear a white Oxford shirt or blouse, an LGA tie, and LGA blazer. A vest may be worn under the blazer. For clarification on all uniform requirements, please see our student code of conduct, linked here:

Lumen Gentium Academy and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School are hosting the 2022 Annual Gala on Saturday, November 19th. One of the highlights of the evening is the silent auction of high value items and gift baskets. This is a fun and fruitful tradition that many families look forward to each year!

The Gala Auction Committee has created an Amazon wish list of approved items that have generated the most interest in previous years. The LGA and OLMC Home & School Associations are collaborating to showcase as many of these items as possible. See the wish list here!

We are kindly requesting a donation of $15-30 per student which will go entirely towards purchasing items for this important school fundraiser. Please know that this is a suggested amount and the HSA will certainly appreciate any amount that your student or family would like to contribute!

Please send your donation in a sealed envelope marked "HSA - Silent Auction" and your student's name to the main office of Lumen Gentium Academy by Wednesday, October 26th.

THE GALA PAGE

Seniors will be taking the Classical Learning Test on the morning of November 10th.

For your calendars, Freshmen and Sophomore will take the CLT 10 on February 7th. Juniors will take the CLT on February 16th.

A representative from University of Dallas will visit LGA on October 26th during Lyceum. Students will have the opportunity to to ask questions and learn more about UD’s programs and philosophy.

Volunteer and Cheer on Cute Kids!

OLMC School is hosting its annual All Hallows Eve Cross Country Meet on October 29th and would love LGA students to volunteer as course marshals. Since some LGA Students are also OLMC Cross-Country Alums, we thought they would enjoy the fellowship opportunity with their Alma Mater!
