As we will not attend the March for Life in Washington on Friday, January 21st, we will commemorate the day with special events. Mr. Davis will address the students in an assembly on Friday morning sharing with them the legal background of Roe vs. Wade and this year’s historic ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. We will offer opportunities to watch the EWTN live broadcast of the March throughout the day, and we will end the day with a Holy Hour at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
We believe that all high school students should be given the opportunity to experience the great things happening at LGA!
Please invite your friends and family to a Lumen Gentium Academy Open House on Sunday, January 30th, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Gym. This is a drop in event for students and families to casually meet LGA faculty, staff, students, and their parents.
Additionally, we will be hosting an Evening Open House on February 17th, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This event will offer a program of speakers to share the LGA mission and philosophy, a tour, and an opportunity to meet LGA faculty, staff, students, and parents.

It’s the time of year when inclement weather can change our plans! Snow day alerts will be sent via text and email through the school’s messaging service. An alert was sent last Monday regarding student laptops. If you did not receive this alert please let us know at school@lumengentium.academy.
If your student is ill or will be missing school, please let us know each day your student will be out. We need parent or guardian notice of all absences. Multiple days may be reported at once, but please report each subsequent day of absence due to illness.
