November 19th: LGA Family Meet and Greet with Dr. Jonathan Sanford, 10:00 a.m.

November 19th: OLMC and LGA Gala, 6:00 p.m., Birchwood Manor

Of Particular Note

November 9th, 10th and 11th are half-days for students. Dismissal is at 11:45 a.m.

Don Rag Sign Up

Please sign up for Don Rags, being held on campus at LGA on Wednesday, November 9th and Thursday, November 10th, 2022 from 12:30-6:30 p.m..

Similar to Parent-Teacher Conferences, Don Rags are an opportunity for both parents and students to hear from their teachers about the individual student's role in the LGA community of learners.

The signups are set to close on Monday, November 7th at midnight. We invite parents to sign up for one slot per student by that time.

N.B. For parents with high school students at OLMC, the sign up for OLMC Parent-Teacher Conferences are also included in on this signup.

Lumen Gentium Academy Students and their parents are invited for a morning Meet and Conversation with Dr. Jonathan Sanford, president of University of Dallas, on Saturday, November 19th. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet one of the foremost thinkers in classical education today. Please RSVP to school@lumengentium.academy if you would like to attend.

Dear Parents, We invite you to visit campus on November 17th for Coffee with the Headmaster at 8:00 a.m.. Mr. Signorelli is eager to speak to parents about the exciting and fruitful experiences your students are having at LGA this Fall. Please stop by for fellowship and to join in conversation with Mr. Signorelli and fellow parents.

This event will be followed by an HSA Meeting at 8:45 am. The LGA HSA is a wonderful way for parents to support the Academy and the special events held each year.

GALA BASKETS

We still have time to donate to our biggest fundraiser of the year! Any amount contributed will greatly help LGA to donate a nice item for the Silent Auction at the 2022 Gala. The HSA will gladly accept any size donation in cash, check or Venmo (@Maria-Morton-6).

Maria Morton, Alexander's mom, has kindly offered the use of her Venmo account. She will then write a check to LGA to cover all contributions she receives for this fundraiser.

Club Corner

Climbing Club begins this week! Tuesday, November 8th is our first meeting at Randolph Climbing Center, students will meet from 3:30 until 5:30-6:00. Times are flexible.

Students arrange for their own transportation, and will need a signed parental waiver if they have not climbed at RCC before.
Students purchase their own membership at RCC at a discounted rate and coordinate their own transportation.
Please let RCC know you are climbing with LGA to purchase the discounted membership.

Our Parent Portal is an excellent resource about the day to day information of our school. It holds the School Calendar, Student Code of Conduct, Important Forms, a link to FACTs, a convenient online form to report absences, and other important information.
