October 10th: No school, Columbus Day

October 12th: PSAT, Koinonia Academy, 8:30 a.m.

October 13th: Coffee with the Headmaster

October 22nd: Open House, LGA Academy, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Of Particular Note

Friday, September 30th is a Field Day and Half Day. Pick up is at 12:00 p.m.

There is no school on Friday, October 7th and Monday, October 10th.

Thank you to the talented team who ran the Student Retreat on Friday! A special thank you to Father Wade and Catherine Porter for their spiritual teaching and guidance, Father Steven Delia for hearing confessions, the HSA for the spread of delicious food, the Martinson family for their hospitality, and our parent volunteers for driving.

Reminder:

Our school day begins at 7:45 a.m. Since we begin morning prayer promptly at that time, it is important for all of our students to have arrived and settled in, so that we can join in prayer as a school community with the proper reverence. Students who arrive after 7:45 without parental notification will be marked tardy for the day.

All Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 12th, 8:30 a.m. at Koinonia Academy, 1040 Plainfield Ave, Plainfield, NJ.

Sophomore and Juniors will be excused from school to take the test.

Students should bring:

A $25 Check made out to Koinonia Academy
Several#2 pencils
Nutritious snack food for breaks
A water bottle
If students have a driver’s license they should bring it with them.

LGA will send out information so that parents can coordinate carpooling soon.
